Flood amendments preparations
Mackay Regional Council has commenced preparations to amend the current Planning Scheme with public consultation and commencement set for late 2020.
Andergrove flood study underway
Mackay Regional Council is currently undertaking a flood study over Andergrove and Beaconsfield. The study will be based on the guidance outlined in the Mackay Guideline for Flood and Stormwater Reports.

The Institute was inundated with questions and concerns regarding the Australian Government HomeBuilder grant announced on 4 June 2020.
Mackay Regional Council set to investigate industrial land supply
Institute advocacy on the importance of industry land in the region has been recognised with the Mackay Regional Council commissioning the preparation of an independent report on industrial land supply in the Mackay region.
Lodgement requirements modified for Partial Release Application
As the result of a recent review, council has updated the subdivision plan Partial Release Application Guidelines in an effort to simplify these lodgements types.
