How to Enter

The Institute’s Awards for Excellence is one of Queensland’s most respected and highly regarded industry Awards programs. Year after year we receive feedback from you that receiving an Award is valued recognition for your work as well as an honour given the winners are chosen by your peers.

Step 1

Register your Intent to Enter online to receive a copy of the criteria and Early Bird discount code

An Intent to Enter is not a submission. It is the first step in the entry process and provides you with a head start by providing access to the category criteria.

Submissions are still accepted after Intents to Enter close on April 28, however you will not be entitled to the Early Bird discount that expires May 9. To retrieve a copy of the criteria, you must register an Intent to Enter.

Please note, if you would like to register for more than one category, you must start a new Intent to Enter each time.

Step 2

Attend Information Session

  • Commence your submission – Submissions open from May 3. To start your submission, login to your Award Force profile with your username and password. If you registered an Intent to Enter, ensure to use your discount code before the code expires on May 9. Please note you will need to make payment for the submission fee before being able to commence working on your submission.
  • It is compulsory for all entrants to attend the Awards Submission Information Session on Wednesday 24 May from 10.30am – 11.30am. Details on the location will be announced closer to the time. Confirm your attendance by emailing events@udiaqld.com.au

Step 3

Enter your completed submission

Once a submission is started you can complete it over numerous sessions, it does not have to be completed straight away. You can save and continue your submission up until the closing date of Friday, 9 June.

To qualify for Early Bird pricing you must complete an Intent to Enter by April 28. You can still enter after this date, however it will be invoiced at full price.

Please note, to commence your written submission payment must be received in full to the Institute. Payment can be made online via credit card or by selecting invoice. A member of the team will grant you access to commence if a remittance advice is provided.

A member of the Institute’s Events team is available to you throughout this process, should you require any assistance.

Your submission needs to be finalised in the system by midnight Friday, 9 June 2023. No further changes are permitted after this time.

Step 4

Host on-site inspection

Each Award category is judged by an independent panel of professional industry members from August 21 – September 1. Judging includes an assessment of the written submission and an on-site inspection by the panel of judges.

Entrants are expected to make a verbal presentation to the judges as part of their site inspection. You should allow no longer than one hour for the site inspection including the presentation.

The onsite presentation is a key component of the judging and should be delivered by your most senior representative who is intimately familiar with the project e.g. CEO, Chairman, Director, Founder etc.

Step 5

Purchase tickets to the Awards long lunch – Friday, 3 November 2023

Our Awards long lunch is open to the entire membership, so be sure to reserve your tickets early. Ideally before you finalise your submission or as soon as practicable after you complete it.

We take no responsibility for entrants that miss out on securing their desired number of event tickets.
