Nominations closing soon

Nominations for the position of Branch President and for membership to the Branch Executive Committee opened earlier this month.

The nomination period will end at 5pm 1 March. Those considering nominating should be aware that appointments are made for a period of two years. In line with UDIA Queensland’s position encouraging diversity, we strongly encourage women, and younger members to put forward a nomination. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to take a leading role within your branch and the wider Institute.

The positions of Branch President, or member of a Branch Executive Committee, are critical to the success of the UDIA in your area, and this is your opportunity to contribute to the change you want to see in your region. In this position, you will:

  1. Play a key role in the direction your region takes on key development issues
  2. Advocate for positive changes that will drive better industry opportunities and housing affordability
  3. Work closely with local and state government and industry leaders.

Nominating couldn’t be easier. As long as you are a financial member of the relevant branch, you can apply (this excludes Associate (government) Members who cannot nominate).

To nominate simply complete the form. Once you have completed the form, return it via the online nomination portal by 5:00 pm, 1 March 2021. The form appears towards the bottom of the webpage.

You will need to have the form completed and ready to upload before commencing an application in the portal.

Following nominations, the UDIA QLD Board will convene to decide on the nominated positions.

If you require more information or another copy of the form, please contact Lauren Barker via email.
