Infrastructure Planning progresses

Rockhampton Regional Council has recently completed its consultation period on an amendment to its Local Government Infrastructure Plan.

The purpose of the amendment is to:

  • Update the Planning Assumptions Model for new population and employment projections Update timings for Trunk Infrastructure Projects
  • Update costs associated with Trunk Infrastructure Projects
  • Modify and add new Trunk Infrastructure Projects
  • Administrative updates and changes.

The Institute has supported the updates to the population and employment projections.

Rockhampton Regional Council has also made available a list of removed trunk infrastructure items as a result of revising its population assumptions and projections. This is available here to review.

While the public consultation period has concluded, we still strongly urge members within the Rockhampton region to review the revised list and advise the Institute of the potential effects.
