2024 President’s Breakfast

Join the Institute’s President, Scott Ullman, for breakfast at the Westin on 4 June.

The 2024 State of the Land report by UDIA revealed housing completions in Queensland are projected to significantly fall short of the state’s share in the National Housing Accord, confirming the industry concerns that housing affordability is likely to worsen, before it improves.

Nearly 12 months on from the announcement, explore what the ambitious target means for industry, and what it will take to deliver our share of the 1.2 million homes over five years.

We’ve locked in Hugh Hartigan from Housing Australia to provide an update on their newly expanded mandate and the Housing Australia Future Fund and National Housing Accord. CoreLogic’s Tim Lawless will discuss the current market dynamics in South East Queensland including stock levels and approvals, and Ray White’s Nerida Conisbee will explore how current delivery challenges are affecting housing supply and affordability, and ultimately, Queensland’s contribution to the Accord’s targets.

Don’t miss this important discussion.
