Branch President to meet with Chief Economic Development Officer

Moreton Bay Regional Council has appointed a Chief Economic Development Officer in a newly created role to bolster the region’s opportunities. Council’s Regional Economic Development Strategy will be the first piece outlining council’s aspiration around economic development.

Branch President Keith Cairns has secured a meeting with the Chief Economic Development Officer, Paul Martins, to outline the branch’s priorities and how they can assist council in achieving economic prosperity.

The Institute wrote to the Chief Economic Development Officer in September welcoming him to the role and outlining the development industry’s contributions to the region and the role it has in ShapingSEQ.

Paul Martins was formally the Head of Economic Development within Sunshine Coast Council and worked with the Institute’s Sunshine Coast branch on a range of matters.
