Council planning scheme amendments closing soon
Toowoomba Regional Council’s public consultation period will close soon on three amendment packages to be adopted as part of their Planning Scheme.
Covenants not supported in amendments
The Institute’s Bundaberg Branch has written to Bundaberg Regional Council recommending against the use of property covenants as a means of facilitating vegetated buffers as part of Council’s new planning scheme policy for agricultural buffers.

Bundaberg Regional Council is proposing amendments to the Planning Scheme policy for development works – uncompleted works bonds.

Mackay Regional Council has finalised and published an Industrial Land Supply Report for the Mackay region measuring the current supply for industrial land and forecasting demand.
HomeBuilder sees development activity soar
The Federal Government’s HomeBuilder Grant has seen development and construction activity increase significantly with some members reporting a 400% increase in sales for house and land packages.
