Nominations for the position of Branch President and for membership to the Branch Executive Committee for 2019 – 2021 will open on the 1 February 2019. The nomination period will close COB on the 1 March 2019. Appointments are made for a period of two years.
The positions, as Branch President or as a member of the Branch Executive Committee, are critical to the success of the UDIA in your region, and this is your opportunity to contribute to the change you want to see in your region. If successful, you will:
1. Play a key role in the direction your region takes on key development issues
2. Advocate for positive changes that will drive better industry opportunities and housing affordability
3. Work closely with local and state government and industry leaders.
Your involvement in this role will be heavily supported by the UDIA Queensland State Office, with a dedicated Policy and Regional Services Team assisting you and your branch with expertise in policy, advocacy, and communications whilst working with you to drive the needs of your region.
Nominating couldn’t be easier. As long as you are a financial member of the UDIA Queensland in the region in which you nominate, you can apply. More information, and the nomination form, will be made available soon. Following nominations, the UDIA Queensland Board will convene to decide on the nominated positions.
In line with the Institute’s position encouraging diversity, we strongly encourage women and younger members to put forward a nomination.
