Nominations are now open
Nominations for the position of Branch President and for membership to the Branch Executive Committee for 2019 – 2021 opened on 1 February 2019. The nomination period will end at 5pm 1 March 2019. Those considering nominating should be aware that appointments are made for a period of two years. In line with UDIA Queensland’s position encouraging diversity, we strongly encourage women, and younger members to put forward a nomination. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to take a leading role within your branch and the wider Institute.
The positions of Branch President, or member of a Branch Executive Committee, are critical to the success of the UDIA in your area, and this is your opportunity to contribute to the change you want to see in your region. In this position, you will:
Play a key role in the direction your region takes on key development issues
Advocate for positive changes that will drive better industry opportunities and housing affordability
Work closely with local and state government and industry leaders.
Your involvement in this role will be heavily supported by the UDIA Queensland State Office, with dedicated staff assisting you and your branch with expertise in policy, advocacy and communications whilst working with you to drive the needs of your region.
Nominating couldn’t be easier. As long as you are a financial member of the UDIA Queensland, you can apply (this excludes Associate (government) Members who cannot nominate). An email was sent to members on 1 February 2019 with a link to the nomination form and to the nomination survey. Please note that nomination forms cannot be accepted via email or in person but only through the survey link, available here.
Following nominations, the UDIA QLD Board will convene to decide on the nominated positions.
If you require more information or another copy of the form, please contact the Regional Services Team via email@example.com.
