Infrastructure Charges Cap Increase

The infrastructure charges maximum cap moved to $20,956.80 for each dwelling with 2 or less bedrooms and $29,339.55 for each dwelling with 3 or more bedrooms. The change is a 2.256 percent increase and changes annually. Maximum charges for these and other land uses are located in schedule 16 of the planning regulation. Members should also check with the relevant local government authority for charges that may be less than the cap. 

The UDIA Queensland knows that infrastructure charges are a critical issue for members. All local government fees and charges are monitored by local Institute branches peruse up price disparities with individual councils. Branches also investigate, engage and make submissions on Local Government Infrastructure Plans that drive the infrastructure charge prices.
