Calling for nominations for UDIA Queensland Policy Committees

As the peak body for the property development industry, the UDIA Queensland aims to support the development industry in creating world class communities for Queenslanders. To that end, we place significant importance on advocating for effective policy reform, as we believe it is one of our most valuable contributions to the industry and the Queensland community.

To ensure we play our role providing expert advice to both state and local governments, the UDIA Queensland has established the following policy committees:

We have also created a new Industry Advisory Group Committee. Chaired by our CEO, Kirsty Chessher-Brown and consisting of senior government representatives, the Committee will foster intergovernmental coordination on policy matters relevant to the industry. This committee will be appointed via a separate process.

As you may know, UDIA Queensland committees are refreshed approximately every two years. We value the diverse range of feedback our members provide, and regular review of policy committee membership provides the opportunity to enable that diversity.

We are now calling for nominations for the Board’s consideration for the 2019 - 2021 term. The nomination period for each of the above committees is open until next week, Friday, 9 August 2019. Please click here to submit your nomination.

The UDIA Queensland Board aims to appoint the new committees in late August. In making these appointments, the Board is looking to encourage increased participation of women and young people and strongly encourages those members to nominate.

If you have any questions about the process, please don’t hesitate to contact Lauren Barker on 07 3229 1589 or at
