Cairns - Be heard on transport

Here’s your final opportunity to be heard and provide your comments and opinions on the State Government’s Draft Far North Queensland Regional Transport Plan (RTP). The plan outlines the key priorities and actions for the future development of the region’s transport network. 

The measures of success proposed include:

  • Public transport access and competitiveness measures
  • Commute/travel time and travel distance
  • Road network reliability
  • Public transport competitiveness measures
  • Commute/travel time
  • Road network productivity, travel time
  • Freight route reliability
  • Active and public transport mode share
  • Frequency and duration of unplanned closures
  • Greenhouse gas emissions from transport
  • Road network reliability

This round of community consultation by the Department of Transport and Main Roads concludes on 1 March 2019. The Institute will be developing a detailed submission to the State regarding its position on behalf of members.
