Sunshine Coast Census data decoded!

Second release drill done

The second round of the 2016 Census data has been released and as promised we have done the number crunching for you!

The Institute's Research Foundation, proudly presented by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), provides an in-depth look at the Census data, offering new insight into the demographic and housing characteristics of the Australian population.

The Sunshine Coast population tipped over 357,000 and between 2006 and 2016 grew by 2.3%.

Most residents are employed full time (54%). The top three local employment locations are Maroochydore/Kuluin, Nambour, and Buderim/North.

The Institute’s Research Foundation, with the CSQ, fills the critical gap in research available through the delivery of both industry as well as consumer insight and analysis. We have recruited experts in economics to provide a comprehensive look at the data that is most vital to the development industry.

Details of the Sunshine Coast census data can be found here.
