Ipswich 2016 Census data decoded!
The second round of the 2016 Census data has been released and as promised we have done the number crunching for you!
The Institute's Research Foundation, proudly presented by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), provides an in-depth look at the Census data, offering new insight into the demographic and housing characteristics of the Australian population.
Ipswich’s population grew 3.49% over the period decade from 2006 to 2016, reaching just over 200,000. Most people are employed full time (62%), which is in line with the State rate of full time employment. The top three sectors for employment are health care/social assistance, manufacturing, and retail trade.
The Institute’s Research Foundation, with the CSQ, fills the critical gap in research available through the delivery of both industry as well as consumer insight and analysis. We have recruited experts in economics to provide a comprehensive look at the data that is most vital to the development industry.
Details of the Ipswich census data can be found here.
