Moreton Bay, let's continue the good work we’ve started together
Re-join as a member of the Institute in 2018 to continue the good work we’ve started together!
As we approach the end of 2017, it’s opportune to reflect on what we’ve achieved together. You told us what was important to the local development industry. We took that feedback and kept it front of mind when we advocated to government, undertook research, and planned informative branch events.
We also know each region faces different opportunities and challenges. The Moreton Bay Branch is working hard to voice member feedback on local industry matters, and we are pleased to share a few highlights from 2017:
We collaborated with the Sunshine Coast Branch to initiate regular meetings with Unitywater to continue two-way communication on key issues, resolve service matters, and participate in industry reference groups
We engaged extensively with decision makers on council’s land supply work i.e. industrial and residential panels and land supply mapping for the Residential Land Supply Assessment Project including providing critical member experience to the SEQRP team
We ensured the voices of Moreton Bay Branch Members were heard in our responses to pivotal matters by giving constant and specific feedback on the Moreton Bay Planning Scheme, the draft Local Government Infrastructure Plan and the SEQRP
We provided input into the draft Queensland Building Plan, the proposed Urban Design Referral Trigger, and the Queensland Housing Code
Our Research Foundation reports, Planning Pulse, Regional Radar, and Census fact sheets were delivered straight to your inbox, sharing the latest market and consumer analysis for Moreton Bay
We also hosted a sold-out event about the Mill PDA this year.
