Fraser Coast Branch’s efforts pay off
The Branch wrote to the Fraser Coast Regional Council noting their reduction of fees relating to reconfiguration of a lot (for projects with 10 and 100 lots) and multi-unit residential projects. Fees associated with a dwelling house increased 40 percent however no other charges increased this year.
Fraser Coast’s Planning Pulse reports for this years infrastructure charges can be accessed here, and development application fees here.
The Branch acknowledges the council’s efforts in encouraging investment in Fraser Coast and allowing its members to provide diverse and affordable housing options for the community.
The Institute’s Research Foundation annually collates data from several Queensland councils on their charges and provides this to members after verification by each council. CPI and other factors are reviewed and insights about how the charges compare between local government areas are provided to members.
Planning Pulse is a Research Foundation report that our team collates to keep members informed about the costs of development by region. Our Research Foundation, proudly presented by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), fills the critical gap in research available through the delivery of both industry and consumer insight and analysis.
