3 October - Deputy Premier's Office
We met with the Deputy Premier’s office to discuss a number of matters, including infrastructure charges.
5 October – Redland Advisory Panel
Our Redland Advisory Committee met with the Redland City Mayor, Karen William, and senior Redland City staff.
5 October – International Tour of Excellence
We travelled to Singapore for the 2017 UDIA Qld International Tour of Excellence presented by Urbis. Peter Hyland, the Singapore based Regional Director for Urbis’ international company, Cistri was the facilitator of this tour. Whilst in Singapore, we went behind the scenes of the cutting-edge developments setting a new global standard.
9 October – Steve Dickson MP
We met with the Member for Buderim, Steven Dickson MP, to discuss our election agenda.
10 October – UDIA Queensland Committees
Our Property Law and Community Management Committee, Housing Advisory Panel, Infrastructure Committee, and Planning and Environment Committee all held their regular meetings.
11 October – Power of 3
We held the SEQ Mayors breakfast, the Power of 3, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. ABC News Journalist Chris O’Brien interviewed Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk, the Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate, and the Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson. 10 October – Jarrod Bleijie MP
We met with Member for Kawana, Jarrod Bleijie MP, to discuss our election agenda.
17 October – Heads Up: Density Design Winners
We will be holding the sold-out event, Heads Up: Density Design Winners, at the BDO offices next week. I look forward to hosting the event, and hearing more about the creative ideas the competition winners have come up with.
26 October – Infrastructure Industry Stakeholders Meeting
We will attend the regular Infrastructure Industry Stakeholders Meeting with DILGP’s Director-General Frankie Carroll and other government and senior industry representatives.
26 October – Seniors Living and Residential Care Committee
Our Seniors Living and Residential Care Committee will have its regular meeting.
31 October – Brisbane City Council Advisory Committee
Our Brisbane City Council Advisory Committee will have its regular meeting.
