Have your say - Annual Land Valuations

The Queensland Valuer General, Neil Bray, has asked us to provide comment on which Local Government Areas should receive an annual valuation effective on 30 June 2017.

In 2016, 24 local government areas were valued, including:

  • Brisbane City Council;
  • Sunshine Coast Regional Council;
  • Moreton Bay Regional Council;
  • Redland City Council;
  • Gold Coast City Council;
  • Fraser Coast Regional Council;
  • Toowoomba Regional Council;
  • Western Downs Regional Council; 
  • Gladstone Regional Council;
  • Central Highlands Regionals;
  • Mackay Regional Council;
  • Whitsunday Regional Council; and
  • Cairns Regional Council.

The Land Valuation Act 2010 requires an annual statutory valuation of all rateable land in Queensland except in unusual circumstances or after consideration with market survey reports and consultation with local government and industry groups.
