Coomera Exit 54 Upgrade a welcome move
The State Government will join with the Commonwealth and developers to fund the upgrade of Exit 54 on the Pacific Motorway which will facilitate development of the Coomera Town Centre and development in the region in general.
The Queensland Government has committed funding of $47.4 million, together with a $10 million commitment from the Commonwealth and a $17.3 million contribution from the developers of the Coomera Town Centre. Construction will begin later this year with the upgrade expected to be completed in late 2016.
Investment in catalytic infrastructure of this kind is a key part of the UDIA (Qld) Advocacy Agenda and has been a top priority for the UDIA (Qld) Gold Coast Logan Branch. Investment in catalytic infrastructure is necessary to ensure that the property development industry can create more jobs, more growth and more diverse and affordable housing for Queenslanders.
