The In-depth Property Development course will equip you with the knowledge you need to operate successfully in the development industry.

Some the industry's brightest minds will deliver a comprehensive and engaging program that will update you with concepts and terminologies of the industry in use today.

The six module course is delivered over six days (two days per fortnight) over a six week period in October and November 2018.

Enrol in a single module, two at a time, or complete the full course and earn CPD points**.

  2. Practical Application – a how to for due diligence including feasibilities and funding (10 October)
  3. Project Conceptualisation, Positioning, and Marketing – the name says it all! (23 October)
  4. The Planning Process – what it takes to get a development approved (24 October)
  5. Built Form – the nuts and bolts of construction (7 November)
  6. Project Delivery – end-to-end development management (8 November)

Catherine is a Senior Town Planner at Place Design Group with over seven years of experience in the development industry. Her roles have provided her with a range of experience in both the private and public sector. Catherine’s working knowledge of the planning industry enables her to deliver considered and strategic advice to optimise the commercial outcomes for developers and landowners.

Cameron McColl

Cameron McColl - City of Brisbane Investment Corporation

Cameron is a CPA qualified accountant having studied a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Queensland, as well as being a Licensed Real Estate Agent and a developer in his own right. He has previously worked with companies such as Brisbane Airport Corporation and Ray White as well as running a high net worth family’s property business for 10 years.

Dan has more than 15 years' experience in media and communications, working as the principal media and issues officer at TransLink and communications adviser to the Deputy Mayor of Brisbane. Dan has also provided strategic communications and community engagement advice on numerous major infrastructure projects.

Stephen Smith

Now, Taylor plays a key role in coordinating the UDIA's EnviroDevelopment program and reviewing environmentally sustainable projects across Australia.

Dean Steer

Dean is a Partner in the Bentleys Tax Consulting Division in Brisbane. He has extensive experience working with property sector participants, including building and civil contractors, developers, real estate investment trusts, receivers, landlords and lessees.

Sarah Macoun

A Partner in HopgoodGanim Lawyers’ Planning and Environment team, Sarah has extensive experience in the areas of planning approvals, litigation and dispute resolution, together with many years of expertise and a keen interest in environmental legislation and policy. Her practice involves advising developers, government entities, and mining and infrastructure proponents across the spectrum of planning and environment related legislation.

Myles Campbell
