Cairns
The Cairns region has experienced sustained population growth over the past 10 years, with an average annual growth rate of 1.6%, driving development in the region.
The development industry directly employs close to 7,000 jobs in the region with over 8,000 jobs indirectly supported, and is the region’s sixth largest employer.
The branch is committed to advocating on behalf of members, so that our issues are front and centre in the minds of policy makers, as they plan for the future of our growing region.
Our branch works with local authorities, Far North Queensland Regional Organisation of Councils (FNQROC) and service providers to progress and resolve the issues facing our members.
We work hard to build relationships with key industry stakeholders to the point that we are regularly invited by various organisations and agencies to attend industry specific briefings, workshops and forums.
Through our regular events we provide members with access to expert information as well as an opportunity to network with local industry professionals.
