As the peak body for Queensland’s property development industry, our members are property development professionals, and our business is building communities.
We have a renewed understanding that the health of our industry benefits all Queenslanders - through job creation, economic prosperity, affordable housing, workable living environments, effective transport systems and sustainable homes.
To help deliver these benefits we:
Keep a strong focus on the ultimate goal of building better communities.
Work with government to stimulate the industry and the economy.
Create events that inform and connect across the state.
Source, analyse and report on industry data and trends that will make a difference.
Listen to our members and the community.
Advocate on behalf of our members for community benefit.
Provide a one-stop-spot for the latest industry news and information.
Link our members to experts, decision makers and motivated peers.
Lead discussions on the big issues affecting our industry and community.
Celebrate and reward the very best projects and professionals in our industry.
Use our regional network of branches to represent the whole of Queensland.
We’re clear that our role is to assist the industry through the delivery of thought leadership, advocacy and converting opportunities into outcomes. We’re excited about our rich program of activities that continue to roll out across the state under the following four themes:
FOUR KEY THEMES TO DELIVER VALUE
1. UDIA Qld's Signature Series of events mirror the values of UDIA (Qld). These premier events include the Awards for Excellence, and Annual Developers Conference and demonstrate an unshakeable commitment to progressing the future of the industry and the lives of Queenslanders.
2. Our members have asked us to provide access to the people and content that significantly impacts the industry. UDIA Qld's Thought Leadership Series of events will deliver on this expectation by putting our members in the box seat to hear about key industry initiatives as they happen, get up close and personal with business pioneers, and learn from the team that have delivered landmark developments across the country. Prepare to be inspired.
3. It is our role to facilitate the progression of our industry. We will provide the information and opportunity for our members to make decisions based on hard evidence. By transferring this knowledge to our members via our Knowledge Series of activities, we will inform, educate and elevate the industry. A key component of our Knowledge Series is the launch of the UDIA Qld Research Foundation, which will provide localized data, sophisticated analysis and rich insights, specific to the development sector, not currently available to the market.
4. UDIA Qld's Sustainability Series of events builds on our commitment for increased environmental sustainability and the growing consumer demand for EnviroDevelopment certified projects. These events identify opportunities and trends and are designed for developers and consultants.
See Events for more details about the when, where and how of these programs.
UDIA Qld has come a long way since it was established in 1971.
UDIA (Qld)’s network of eleven regional branches gives us important insights into the issues facing the development industry and our members right across Queensland.
