UDIA Profile
The Urban Development Institute of Australia (Queensland) is a not-for-profit industry body dedicated to servicing and representing the interests of the Queensland development industry. UDIA (Qld) is a membership organisation and its members include property developers and associated professions and sectors, including financiers, lawyers, architects, planners, engineers, project marketers, professional consultants, government representatives and students.
The Institute is driven strongly by its members, with an elected President, Council and Branch executive ably supported by a full-time Chief Executive and staff.
Activities of the Institute include:
- Lobbying government to achieve positive outcomes for the industry
- Keeping members up to date on critical industry issues
- Organising conferences, seminars and other events featuring key experts and industry leaders
- Providing opportunities for business and social networking
- Encouraging excellence in development through Branch, State and National Awards
- Promoting a Code of Ethics for all members, and
- Collaborating with other industry bodies to deliver optimum results for members
